Hello there Wildcat Family,
The first three weeks in room 311 have been exciting to say the least! Despite an abbreviated second week, I've enjoyed getting to know your children both as people and as students.
MYP Science 7 students began the year reviewing the scientific method by engaging in the Bubble Lab and have moved on to exploring the layers of Earth's atmosphere. We will have our first assessment this coming week on the 18th and 19th.
Magnet Science Olympiad students began the year exploring elements of collaboration, including how acknowledging differences in personality can play a role in effective teamwork. We then moved on to an introduction of the Science and Engineering Practices, which will guide our learning this year. This coming week we will engage in review of the scientific method with more hands-on learning experiences.
I have a feeling it's going to be a great year!
